Criteria of Top Exam of SBI in 2017



Every year, lakhs of students appear for various entrance exams for recruitment in various roles in the banking sector. The difficulty level of these examinations may vary from moderate to high. But what makes it challenging is the level of competition for limited number of posts.

State Bank Of India (SBI )-It is an Indian multinational Public Sector banking and financial company. SBI conducts the national level recruitment exam for the appointment of Probationary Officers. It marks the Junior Management Level direct entry in the Bank for young graduates. Exam for SBI PO & Clerk conducted each year for appointing officers in the Bank.SBI PO is computer based test. Preliminary exam will be shortlist to appear for mains exam which will conduct in June these examinations and secure a job.

SBI computer based test to be conducted in two phases – Preliminary and Mains .Candidate who will qualify in SBI Po. Candidate who will qualify the mains will be subsequently called for a group discussion. The selection of candidate will be done as per the candidate rank in SBI PO 
merit list.

SBI PO

One of India's largest and oldest public sector banks, the State Bank of India conducts examination for its Probationary Officer posts every year.
Tentative month of preliminary examination: July
Exam pattern: Objective type preliminary examination followed by mains and personal interview.
Job profile: General banking and bank administration.
Career growth: After completion of probationary period Bank POs will be promoted to assistant manager. There is also provision for a confirmation test and promotion immediately after two years.

SBI Clerk

The State Bank of India conducts competitive recruitment examination every year for filling its clerical vacancy to assist officers.
Tentative month of preliminary examination: August
Exam pattern: Objective type preliminary examination and objective type mains examination.
Job profile: This post usually of clerical grade with job responsibility of direct handling of customers and data entry.
Career growth: After six months of basic training, will be posted in a branch. Clerk may become officer by clearing the internal exams.

English syllabus for CDS Exam:-

CDS English syllabus covers mostly grammatical questions. Questions in English are from

  1.     Antonyms and Synonyms
  2.   Reading Comprehension 
  3.   Jumble sentences and words
  4.  Omissions of words, Error Spotting/Sentence Correction

Maths syllabus for CDS Exam

Mensuration: Areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangle and circle. Also covers Surface area and volume of cuboids, lateral surface and volume of right circular cones and cylinders, surface area and volume of spheres.

Statistics: Central tendency, Collection and tabulation of statistical data, Graphical representation of polygons, histograms, bar charts, pie charts, etc. 

SSB round- Intelligence and Personality Test

Once the candidate clear written test he/she is eligible for next round i.e. SSB interview which tests the intelligence and psychology of the candidate. Candidate need to take Group Tests such as group discussions, group planning, outdoor group tasks, and asked to give brief lectures on specified subjects. These tests judge the mental calibre of a candidate
